Welcome to the Louisiana Association of Teacher Educators.

The Louisiana Association of Teacher Educators (LAATE) is a state affiliate of the Association of Teacher Educators. LAATE members represent those professional educators involved in teacher preparation programs. They are university faculty and administrators, P-12 school leaders, and P-12 teachers who serve as cooperating teachers and adjunct faculty in teacher preparation programs.

We invite you to become an active LAATE member. Please explore this Web site to learn about the organization and how you may become involved!

2012 LAATE Constitution Ratified by Membership and Enacted by Executive Board

To better serve the organization's mission and its membership, the Executive Board worked in 2011 to revise the governing document. After nearly a year-long process, the proposed constitution was ratified with unanimous support. It will become effective 7/1/12 at the same time that the new elected officers and members-at-large, per the 2012 constitution, assume their leadership roles. Review the new constitution.
