Welcome to the Louisiana Association of Teacher Educators.

The Louisiana Association of Teacher Educators (LAATE) is a state affiliate of the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). We are also a partner organization with the Louisiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (LACTE). LAATE members represent those professional educators involved in teacher preparation programs. They are university faculty and administrators, P-12 school leaders, and P-12 teachers who serve as cooperating teachers and adjunct faculty in teacher preparation programs.

We invite you to become an active LAATE member. Please explore this Web site to learn about the organization and how you may become involved!

Candi BagleyThank you, Candi!

Candi Bagley, an associate professor at Louisiana State University - Shreveport, retired after many years of service as an elementary educator and later as an elementary teacher educator. Candi has been a dedicated member of the LAATE team for many years, but her service to the organization is no comparison to her service as an educator. She has been an advocate for children and their learning for decades, and that commitment will not end with her retirement. She intends to remain active in the organization and in education. We thank her for her years of past and future dedication.
